“The symposium ‘Whither Styles’ was thought provoking and more than a proof of the continued interest in learning styles and the concern about the future of the discipline.”
“I’m still enjoying our gathering of last week in Dublin. I’m already looking forward to meet all of you again in Ghent next year.”
The 11th Annual ELSIN conference. Enabling Lifelong Learning in Education, Training and Development University of Oslo, Norway.
"Looking back, I’m very glad my colleague convinced me to try the ELSIN experience. Compared to other conferences I have been to, I found the ELSIN conference to have a very friendly, informal and positive atmosphere. I really appreciated the talks between researchers at different points of their career. Discussions between PhD students and keynote speakers and between delegates from totally different cultures were fascinating to see and to be part of. The two dinner experiences at the Vigeland sculpture park and on the boat in the fjord of Oslo were memorable.”
“The ELSIN conference gave me a boost of energy to continue studying the relevance and impact of style differences. In my opinion, ELSIN is incredibly valuable for the advancement of style research. The ELSIN conference is ‘big in being small’. By focusing on people with common interests (style-related issues) a lot of valuable networking can take place. The number of participants makes it possible to do nice informal activities with all people together.”
2005
The 10th Annual ELSIN conference. Individual differences in learning and cognition. University of Surrey, England.
“My first foray into the international conference world of learning styles was one of great excitement and personal growth as an educator. I was delighted to have opportunities to attend other presentations. I met educators from Saudi Arabia, Greece, England, Wales, and other places in Europe. What I did not expect was such a great variety of workshops, nor did I realise how far this extended in Europe and Asia. I look forward to returning to the European Conference in the near future.”
2003
The 8th Annual ELSIN conference. Learning Styles: Bridging Theory and Practice, University of Hull, England.

“A most enjoyable few days, stimulating presentations, much to think about and pursue.”
“Well organised with a friendly atmosphere, provided the forum for some excellent contributions which provoked effective debate.”
“I was impressed with the speakers (the international aspect), the organisation and the commitment of the people involved.”
